Optoelectronics Technology Award to DCE Teacher
Dr. R. K. Sinha of DCE Delhi is selected for the “Optoelectronics Technology Award” for the year 2006 by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers, India. Dr Sinha will be receiving this prestigious award of IETE “ in recognition for distinguished contribution for outstanding research in the area of Nano-Photonics leading to the establishment of interdisciplinary research center, TIFAC-Center of Relevance and Excellence (CORE) in Fiber Optics and Optical communication, at DCE Delhi.”
This award has been instituted by the organizing committee of the International Conference on Emerging Optoelectronic Technologies (CEOT) held in July 1994 at Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore and is co-sponsored by IETE. The award is conferred biennially by IETE on a person for outstanding contribution in the field of Optoelectronics covering materials, devices, circuits, technologies, systems and application and is known as IETE-CEOT award.
Dr Sinha of DCE will be conferred IETE-CEOT (Biennial) award between 0930AM and 11.30AM during the inaugural session of the 49 th Annual Technical Convention of the IETE on September 30, 2006 at Delton Hall, 2 Institutional Area Lodi Road, New Delhi 110 003.
