Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi will hold an Entrance Examination for admission to first year of the four years B. Tech (Part-time) Degree Programme in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics & Communication Engineering, for the academic year 2006-2007 on June 25, 2006, (Sunday).The candidates who
- have passed State Diploma in Engineering of three years duration &
- have served for a period of not less than One year as on 1st day of October, 2006 in an established engineering works/organisation, located in the N.C.T. of Delhi and contiguous industrial areas shall be eligible to appear in the entrance examinatio
The bulletin of information containing details of the admission Procedure, Application Form and Syllabi of Entrance Examination is available from B.Tech (Part-time) office, Room No- FW1-FF4, Electrical Engineering Department, w.e.f. 20th April, 2006 on all working days (Monday to Saturday) between 2.00 p.m. To 7 p.m. on submission of Crossed bank Draft /Pay Order of Rs 550/- drawn in favour of ‘The Coordinator B.Tech Entrance Examination ‘payable at Delhi.
Candidates desirous of obtaining the bulletin of information by post should send their request to the Deputy Coordinator (Admn.), B.Tech (Part-time) office, Room No-FW1-FF4, Electrical Engineering Department, Delhi College of Engineering, Bawana Road, Delhi 110042, enclosing therewith a self addressed envelope (25 cm x 18 cm) and a Crossed bank Draft/pay Order for Rs 600/- drawn in favour of The Coordinator, B. Tech Entrance Examination, payable at Delhi. Request for issue of the bulletin of information, by post will not be entertained after 12 May, 2006.
The completed Application Form should reach the Deputy coordinator (Admn.) on or before 24th May 2006 (latest by 7.00 p.m.) either in person or by post. Under no circumstances, the applications, received after this date, shall be entertained.
No mode of payment other than the one mentioned above shall be accepted.

DISTRIBUTION OF SEATS:
The distribution of total seats in each branch is as follows:

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS
- The candidates seeking admission to B.Tech. Programmes, must have passed a State Diploma Examination of three years duration in the corresponding branch or any other examination, recognized equivalent thereto by the University of Delhi with a minimum aggregate (aggregate of all six semesters / three years) of 55%(45% for SC/ST candidate).
Note: “Passing the said examination” will be construed to imply the date of last examination (Annual or otherwise taken by the candidate leading to Complete Fulfillment of the requirements for the award of three years State Board Diploma.)
- (i) After passing the said examination, a candidate must be in full-time employment, training or apprenticeship in installation, operation and maintenance or some other field work in an approved engineering work/organization located in the National Capital Territory of Delhi and contiguous industrial areas in the relevant branch of engineering for a period of not less than one year as on 1st October 2006, and should continue to be in the employment for the entire duration of the programme.
(ii) Candidate must produce a ‘No objection certificate’ in original in the prescribed form(available with the application form) from the employer, The ‘No objection certificate’ issued by the employer should be renewed annually.
- Candidate must have attained 19 years of age as on 01-10-2006. Relaxation in age up to one year only is permissible with the approval of the Vice- Chancellor. Such candidates should apply for relaxation at the time of admission
