The Department of Humanities imparts instructions to UG and PG students of the various engineering disciplines and caters to their needs in the areas of English and other foreign languages, economics, technical communication, technical report writing, industrial organization and managerial economics. The courses offered are highly pertinent for industrial set up. The students of various engineering disciplines undertake projects related with modern science & engineering and carry out market survey. In the process greater emphasis is laid surfing through InterNet, verbal and non-verbal communication, writing skills and imaginative industry environment. The department has submitted a proposal to set up a Language Laboratory which will expose the students to TOFEL and GRE model of training & practice. By learning to correct their pronunciation, accent & intonation students will improve their communication skills and learn different variations in English expression. It is also proposed to start an MBA program in Engineering HR Management and Economic & Finance Management and language courses in German, French, Japanese, Chinese & Russian.
The Department of Humanities provide an infrastructural support to the science and engineering departments of the college. Communication through wall-paper, wall magazines, mock and mono acting etc. is encouraged. Emphasis is laid on exploring the skills of art, music, dance, drama, cultural and many more.
