Editorial
Every once in a while, one gets the opportunity to do something meaningful, something that will help us give back to society, something that will give us a chance to contribute to the development of mankind, that will take it forward. It is with this aim and with this purpose that we are proud to present ‘Jeev’- a magazine dedicated towards the life sciences.
‘Jeev’, literally meaning organism in Hindi, will be a magazine where all intellectuals in the field of life sciences can share their ideas and their views. Everybody will be welcomed on board. It will serve as a platform for expressing one’s thoughts, theories, and even concerns. It is a dais where we can express our knowledgeable and insightful minds for it is very important to lend great minds an outlet for expression. Nobody, whether young or old, student or professor, will be discouraged. All articles shall receive ample consideration and be posted in due course of time. The aim that we have for Jeev is that it should serve as a converging point for all scholarly people in the field of life sciences. It should be a place where we can all discuss our ideas and accept both criticism and praise graciously. There is a plethora of opportunities in our field of choice today. Everyday more and more diseases are being found that need to be cured, more and more controversies are being created that need to be cleared, and more and more data is being acquired that needs to be interpreted. This magazine is but a start towards exploring these unending prospects. We together can serve to perform these tasks, at least on a small scale.
Finally, we wish that Jeev will be able to contribute to society in an effective manner; if not directly, then at least by making our minds richer and more well informed so that we may be able to perform that task on Jeev’s behalf.
We would like to thank Aman King, Arpita Mirani and Erach who have helped us a lot in bringing out the magazine in its current format. We would also like to thank Delhi College of Engineering for providing us with web space for our venture
Warm Regards,
