My List of Top Bioengineering Graduate Programs in USA
by Paras ChopraBioengineering is a new and upcoming field which combines the practices in biology with those in engineering. The field holds immense potential in near future and is already generating a lot of high-end jobs (with fat pay salaries). But these (research) jobs require a post-graduate degree of M.S. (or equivalent) as a minimum. However, a PhD will certainly boost your career by leaps and bounds.
It is a common myth that only undergraduates in bio-related fields are eligible for post-graduate courses in Bioengineering. Infact, people with strong mathematical foundation such as computer science/electronics engineers and undergraduates in mathematics, physics, etc. are highly preferred in selection process. This means that no matter which subject you are pursuing as an undergraduate, you can always do a post-graduate course in Bioengineering.
Here I present my list of top post-graduate (MS/PhD) programs in USA. The list – in descending order of my rankings -- is complied based partly on my interests and partly on rankings, reputation, program structure, etc. of the college. This list will aid current undergraduate students in their selection of colleges/universities.
