Editorial
It feels so good to have successfully launched the first issue of the magazine. I must say that it was well received throughout the student community at our college. We had done publicity through internet groups, personal emails and forums. But the most satisfying experience was putting up (physical) posters throughout the college notice boards. We received telephone calls from students (even mechanical engineering department) appreciating our efforts and enquiring about next issue.
At the date of writing, the Jeev website has received more than 3,000 hits. That is a complement in itself. Among the visitors, India makes up for the biggest chunk (with more than 50% of visitors). But, we get visitors from countries such as USA, UK, Germany, Canada and even Serbia & Montenegro.
In this issue, we have a wide variety of articles such as highly debated topic of Evolution v/s Intelligent Design and futuristic topics such as Agricultural Bioterrorism and Nanobiotechnology. We also have an article on the future of human evolution taking into regard the current environmental situation.
I hope you will receive this issue as well as you have received our inaugural issue. Please keep your feedback flowing into our inbox.
Enjoy reading the issue!
Warm Regards,
On behalf of the Editorial Team
