Prior to that, Mr. Dham also inaugurated a ‘Domestic Waste Water Recycling Plant’ of 30,000 litres capacity, established at the DTU campus. The Waster Water Recycling Plant is yet another step towards turning DTU into a Green campus. The waste water collected from the hostels and other buildings of the University shall be treated at this plant and reused for horticulture purpose.

Welcoming the august gathering, Prof. Sharma said, “We at DTU are firmly committed to nurture engineering and technology education and research excellence. Our thrust is on empowering our young budding engineers and techno-managers with the “Wings of Knowledge and Power of Innovations”. During the last few years we are witnessing a rise in student start-up companies being set up by our recent Graduates and this is where we take a sense of fulfilment of our dream to empower the young budding engineers with the spirit of entrepreneurship for which E-Summit is organised at DTU.”  Vice Chancellor also informed  that last year DTU students had received 683 job offers from 138 leading companies whereas, this year 662 job offers have already been received from 113 organizations.

Applauding the Vice Chancellor for giving so much encouragement and freedom to the students for doing research and innovations at DTU, Mr. Dham said, “Entrepreneurship is very close to my heart. The thrill and excitement offered by starting something new is unparalleled. You don’t have to be rich and famous to start something on your own, anyone can do it with right approach and dedication.” He also urged the students to go beyond rote learning and securing good marks and have a successful life as wholesome human being. “If you have a passion then do pursue it,” he added. Mr. Dham was felicitated by Prof. Sharma with a citation and shawl, on this momentous occasion.
