DTU Unmanned Aerial Systems |
The Delhi Technological University's Unmanned Aerial Systems (DTU-UAS) project was flag-shipped in the year 2006 with the development of Quad-rotor design which won the Most Innovative Design award at AUVSI's IARC 2006.

| Since then the research project has come a long way with continuous R&D of fixed wing UAVs. The team participated in AUVSI’s Student Unmanned Air System (SUAS) in 2009 with its aircraft named ICARUS and was recognised for the best team effort. |

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company signed an MOU with DTU in August 2009, wherein the team was tasked with the design and development of a Next-generation Urban unmanned Aerial System capable of ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance). The project spanning over two years, is at present in the Detailed Design and Fabrication Phase.
In AUVSI’s SUAS 2010, the team participated with its revamped aerial system named BULBUL and won many accolades and was recognised for its Systems Engineering.
